Description
Part Description:
Designed to be used in both hot and cold water applications as well as in pneumatic systems, G6300 John Guest Speedfit® push-to-connect fittings allow for reduced installation time without the need for specialty tools while also providing a leak-proof attachment.
Recommended for use with:
- Polyethylene, nylon, polyurethane, and other plastic tubing.
- Soft metals such as brass and copper.
Not recommended for use with:
- Hard or chrome-plated metal tubing.
- Explosive gases.
- Fuels.
- Central heating or in-floor radiant heating.
Assembly Instructions:
1. Cut the tube square and remove any burrs or sharp edges that may damage the internal O-ring on the fitting. Ensure the end of the tube is free of score marks that may cause leak paths.
2. Insert the tube until it bottoms, then pull the fitting back to ensure it is secure before testing the system.
3. To release, push the gripping collet back squarely against the fitting body while pulling the tube out from the fitting.
Note: When using G6300 John Guest Speedfit® fittings with soft durometer tubing such as PVC tubing or in hot water systems, always use a tube insert.
