Description
The Bedford 18-554 is a compatible replacement for Speeflo part 180-005 — the female adapter used in Speeflo spray equipment. The female adapter sits at the end of the packing set in the pump’s fluid section, seating the packings squarely so they seal against the piston rod and cylinder wall. Worn adapters let the stack shift, and no amount of packing-nut tightening will hold pressure once that happens.
Common reasons for replacement:
- Renewed with the packing set during a fluid-section repack
- Fluid bypassing a packing stack that no longer sits square
- Pressure loss that new packings alone do not cure
- Wear or corrosion on the adapter’s seating face
Manufactured to OEM-equivalent dimensions for proper fit and performance. Compatible Speeflo equipment models are listed in the Compatible Equipment section below, where available.
