Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is a solution of urea and de-ionized water that is sprayed into the exhaust systems of diesel-powered vehicles. It is also known as AdBlue™ and is standardized as ISO 22241. The fluid reacts to break down nitric oxide and nitrogen dioxide pollutants. Our DEF Dispenser hose has a tube made from a special sulfur free EPDM rubber that results in no contamination of the fluid as per ISO 22241-2. For hose assemblies, it is important to select only fittings made from specific materials to come into contact with DEF fluid. In order to prevent corrosion which may contaminate the fluid and render if ineffective or potentially damage engine components, please refer to the table below when selecting your end fittings.
