Description
The Bedford 20-3985 is a direct-fit replacement for the Merker ES pump repair kit (Leather/Poly), a complete seal and packing assembly designed for the Merker ES airless spray pump system. This kit equips spray equipment technicians, pump rebuild specialists, and professional painting contractors with the packings, seals, and elastomer components needed to restore full operational capacity to a Merker ES pump during routine maintenance or emergency field repairs.
Pump rebuild specialists and equipment service teams rely on this kit to address wear patterns that develop across the Merker ES pump’s pressure chambers and rod assemblies. Installation of fresh sealing components restores the pressure integrity that spray contractors depend on for consistent fluid delivery and coating application quality.
Common reasons for replacement:
- Pressure loss during operation, evidenced by reduced spray output or intermittent pressure fluctuations
- Fluid leakage from the pump rod or around seal areas, indicating elastomer degradation
- Visible wear or discoloration of existing packings after extended operating cycles
- Difficulty priming or maintaining prime, suggesting compromised internal seal function
Manufactured to OEM-equivalent dimensions for proper fit and performance. Compatible Graco equipment models are listed in the Compatible Equipment section below, where available.
