The Trane COM6438 is a heavy-duty compressor intended for heavy-duty cooling, and air conditioners using R-22 refrigerant. This workhorse is approximately 32” long and comes with brazed stub tubes for refrigerant connections. it should be installed by professional personnel. The Trane Compressor works through pistons with high-speed motors or blades enclosed in a casing. This action puts pressure and raises the temperature of the refrigerant gas by a huge amount. With a 15-ton refrigeration capacity, the tackles large cooling loads in large building structures.
