Description
The Trane VAL9894 is a Thermostatic expansion valve intended for application in refrigeration equipment for air conditioning, refrigeration, and frozen food industries capable of handling up to 6 tons. It operates with extreme precision where the level of refrigerant for R-22 enters the evaporator coil at the right standard. This expansion or contraction controls the diaphragm inside the valve, to ensure that the flow of the refrigerant is kept constant at the evaporator coil outlet with a set superheat— the difference in the temperature of the refrigerant and the air leaving the coil. TXVs are used in most large HVAC applications where precise refrigerant flow management is critical.
