Description
Part Description:
When attaching couplings to corrugated hoses, banding coils make band application easier and neater by creating a smooth surface for clamping. One banding coil can be cut in half to provide enough coil to couple both ends of a hose. The coil is threaded onto the hose helix at each end prior to fitting installation. Clamps are then applied over the coil and helix.
Safety Note: Any hose being used to transfer gasoline or gasoline vapors must be bonded to ground to prevent the risk of static build-up. Assemblers must be trained to correctly bond the copper static wire of the hose to the metal end fittings and test the conductivity. Instructions are available upon request.
Left-Hand or Right-Hand Helix?
To determine the direction of your helix, look at the end of the hose. If the helix spirals in a clockwise direction away from you it is a right-hand helix. If the helix spirals in a counter-clockwise direction away from you, it is a left-hand helix.
