Description
The Bedford 9-839 is a compatible replacement for Graco parts 102-972 and 102972 — the ball used in Graco spray equipment. This ball is the moving element of a check valve in the pump’s fluid section: on each stroke it lifts off its seat to let coating through, then reseats to hold pressure. Compatible with Graco 10:1 Bulldog, Graco 13:1 Senator (HydraCat), Graco 20:1 Bulldog (HydraCat), Graco 45:1 King (HydraCat), Graco GH 130, Graco GH 130 Standard and other compatible equipment.
Common reasons for replacement:
- Pitting or scoring from abrasive coatings
- Replaced together with its seat during a fluid-section rebuild
- Sprayer loses prime or pressure as the ball wears out-of-round
- Fluid backflow from a ball that no longer seats cleanly
