Description
The Bedford 20-3416 is a direct-fit replacement for the Throat Seal Packing Set TFE, a critical component in Graco airless spray pump assemblies where the fluid rod passes through the pump head.
Pump rebuild specialists and spray equipment service technicians rely on throat seal packing sets to prevent fluid leakage around the rod interface and maintain system pressure integrity during operation. When this packing deteriorates or fails, fluid begins seeping from the pump head, reducing spray output and creating cleanup issues on job sites.
Common reasons for replacement:
- Visible fluid weeping or dripping from the pump head throat area during or after spraying operations
- Loss of prime or difficulty maintaining consistent pressure after equipment sits idle
- Packing material degradation from exposure to incompatible fluids or extended pump runtime
- Routine replacement as part of scheduled pump rebuild service to restore equipment to like-new condition
Manufactured to OEM-equivalent dimensions for proper fit and performance. Compatible Graco equipment models are listed in the Compatible Equipment section below, where available.
