Description
Mid-Range Sanitary Isolation for 1-1/2″ Hygienic Piping Systems
The Sharpe 77 Series 1-1/2″ sanitary butterfly valve is large enough to handle meaningful flow volumes with minimal pressure drop and compact enough to fit in tight panel or manifold layouts. This size sees frequent use in dairy and beverage processing CIP return lines, pharmaceutical buffer tank isolation, and mid-capacity chemical distribution circuits. In data center liquid cooling, 1-1/2″ valves are well-suited to secondary distribution loops and inter-rack coolant headers within a CDU skid, where flow rates are moderate and quick-isolation capability is needed for maintenance or zone control (without shutting down the broader cooling system).
Construction is 304 stainless steel throughout: precision-milled body, fully machined and polished disc. The EPDM seating holds up to repeated CIP cycles and is compatible with deionized water and glycol-based coolants used in direct-to-chip and rear-door heat exchanger architectures. FDA 21CFR 177.2600 compliance covers regulated food and pharma environments. The tri-clamp end design eliminates threaded sealants and supports rapid disassembly for inspection or seat replacement. Rated to 150 PSI CWP and 200°F, with bubble-tight bidirectional shutoff standard.
