The Trane COM8838 Scroll Compressor is a powerful compressor that is suitable for substantial cooling of business and industrial structures, which uses R-410A refrigerant. This Trane compressor works differently from most piston compressors; it uses a scroll for its operation. In the sealed housing, two meshing scrolls operate such that they can compress the refrigerant gas at moderate speed while establishing high pressure. This 5.6-ton capacity compressor is suitable for cooling loads in conditions as low as 45 degrees. It is safe to circulate refrigerants through brazed stub tubes.
