Description
The Trane VAL7243 is a 5-ton thermal expansion valve (TXV) used in heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. It also has another name, thermostatic expansion valve, and it is one of the most essentialelements of the system, because it regulates the amount of refrigerant. The TXV offers the better cooling capacity since it controls the flow of refrigerant into the evaporator coil meticulously. The TXV employs a bulb containing a temperature-sensitive element that is charged with vaporized refrigerant and connected to the valve body through a narrow capillary tube. It is so because the pressure inside the bulb decreases as it follows the temperature reduction of the evaporator coil.
