Description
The Trane VAL8799 is the Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) designed to work with Trane HVAC systems using R410A refrigerant and up to the cooling capacity of 5 tons. This valve is essentialin management of refrigerant flow within the given system. In this way, by providing an accurate measure of refrigerant flow into the evaporator coil, the TXV maximizes the cooling capability. Picture it as a pressure-sensitive valve that controls the quantity of refrigerant allowed through to the evaporator about the temperature. This controlled flow avoids the situation whereby the evaporator feeds on more refrigerant than it should, which again may affect its efficiency and pose some serious harm to the system.
